What is a Pokémon Booster Box?

A booster box is essentially a display containing 36 boosters, also known as packs. For each main set, a booster box is released. The latest booster box is the one from Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. You often find a booster box at the checkout counter in physical stores or on the shelves, and the packs can cost up to 6 euros each. We offer these booster boxes at much lower prices, so your cost per booster/pack is significantly reduced.

A booster box is ideal for any Pokémon collector who wants to open many boosters in succession. The box remains sealed in the original Pokémon factory seal, making it a great item for investment purposes. However, be aware that major investors and collectors always want a perfect seal. This means there should be no tears in the seal of the Pokémon booster box.

You also have the option to order a full case, which contains six booster boxes from the Pokémon factory. You can recognize this by the original description on the sides of the box and the original tape sealing the edges. Often, it will say something like 6x Sword & Shield Vivid Voltage booster box. This ensures it is an official Pokémon product in excellent condition.

Collection Purpose

The choice is entirely up to you! Will you go for a single box, multiple loose packs, or purchase several boxes at once? And what’s your plan? Will you open all 36 booster packs per box, or carefully keep them as an investment for the future?

If you see Pokémon cards as a long-term investment, you might consider extra protection for your sealed products. A custom-made acrylic case, which you can easily order online, helps maintain the seal in perfect condition for years. This way, your collection stays well-preserved and retains its value!

What is a Pokémon Elite Trainer Box?

An Elite Trainer Box, often abbreviated as ETB, includes at least 8 boosters, 65 sleeves, 6 small damage counter dice, a large die for heads or tails – even and odd – energy cards, and card dividers. Some ETBs contain 10 boosters and a promo card in addition to all other accessories. The ETB for a main set includes 8 boosters. From Pokémon Scarlet & Violet onward, an Elite Trainer Box for a main set will contain 9 boosters and a promo card. This means you get an extra booster and a promo card compared to past ETBs.

The ETB for an interim set, also known as a Holiday Set (e.g., Crown Zenith), includes 10 boosters and a promo card. Pokémon ETBs are very popular, especially for Holiday Sets, as there are no booster boxes for these sets. This makes the ETB the product with the most packs. Additionally, the exclusive promo card inside makes these boxes even more valuable.

Think of the Pokémon Shining Legends Elite Trainer Box, which contains a sealed Shining Ho-Oh Pokémon card. Or the Pokémon Champions Path Elite Trainer Box with a sealed Charizard V Pokémon card. If you buy these boxes early, the price usually ranges between 50 and 70 euros. However, prices vary significantly per set, as some are simply more popular than others, and Pokémon’s production decisions impact availability.
